A Fly that Looks Like Hatchery Food

Here in Idaho we have quite a bit of fishing around.  Despite fantastic and remote fishing, some of the best water for kids are the man made ponds right in town which are packed with hatchery fish.  If I could get my hands on a fly that looks like a small piece of dry dog food, I'm pretty sure I could teach a five year old to fly fish.
