Awesome Neighborhood in the Middle of No Where
Props to my brother-in-law for this one. He is a tech guy and with the number of technological advances that have occurred over the last ten years make him think that working from home will soon be the norm. His suggestion is to make a super awesome neighborhood somewhere totally beautiful and secluded and then wire it up to the hilt with high speed internet. Programmers, graphic designers, customer service reps and folks who make "$20,000 a month from home!" could move to a distant town on the coast, have super fast wireless and take long walks on the beach every day before logging on and getting a good days worth of work done.

Javier's going to start working from home three days a week this month and I have a firend whose husband works for a company based in San Fransisco but lives here in Round Rock. I tell you what, I bet their house is 10 times bigger than the one they could afford in San Fransisco. Imagine all the professionals in New York! This is a super good idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this one. Microsoft has software called share point which is supposed to facilitate online collaboration. I wonder what it will look like in 15 years.
