Phone Remote
We are constantly looking for the remote. Both for the TV and the DVD player. I'm pretty good about knowing where my phone most of the time however. It would be nice if you could set internet connected TVs and DVD players up so they could receive direction via a phone app. Then when you eventually loose the remote you can easily replace it with a device that's off limits to the kids.

I like this idea too! Here's a simpler solution, that I can't figure why no one has used. Why not include a button on the TV that when pushed, causes the remote to beep? Would go a long way towards helping you find it!
ReplyDeleteI also thought this was going to be a pager idea for tv remotes, which is a good idea. I also wanted to let you know that I had a roommate at BYU who had a tv remote app for a Palm Pilot. It was fairly universal, and pretty amazing. I bet something for smart phones does exist.
